How the Lady Trump prepares for Her Big Day

Ivanka Trump and her beau Jared Kushner are swapping ceremonial vows this Sunday, October 25, in an Orthodox Jewish Ceremony at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. The 525-acre estate will hold 500 guests during Ivanka’s The Day.

Brides.com interviewed her days before the wedding and the Lady Trump herself shared her wedding plans and preparations.

Ivanka’s dream wedding

Ivanka has always envisioned a traditional wedding which is also elegant at the same time. For her, the ceremony itself is the most important element of the wedding process.

This is the moment every girl dreams of. At that point hopefully all of the anxiety will have subsided and I can just enjoy the moment. I am excited to be standing with the guy who I am committed to spending the rest of my life with as our family and friends surround us”, Ivanka said.

Balancing work and personal life

Brides.com asked Ivanka how she managed to involved herself in the wedding preparations with all her other responsibilities like being head of her jewelry company, the Ivanka Trump Collection. The Lady Trump acknowledges her wedding planner Preston Bailey with his team and her coordinator Barbara Essess for helping her track daily appointments. She also credits her Blackberry for helping her balance work and personal life.

Plus, when you have so many other things going on you naturally avoid becoming too obsessive in planning. I always remind myself that it’s the marriage that’s important—not the party”, Ivanka added.

Leaving it to the experts

Although Ivanka already has this vision of her dream wedding, she thought it would be better to leave it to Preston and his team when it comes to her wedding plans. Vera Wang is designing Ivanka’s gown and this decision was made after meeting several designers.

Preston’s list of vendors is amongst the best of the best. He introduced me to Sylvia Weinstock, who truly is an amazingly talented pastry chef. (She, incidentally, also made my brother’s wedding cake—the perfect combination of delicious, which is often overlooked, and gorgeous!) For my gown, I met with several different designers, but ultimately, it was Vera Wang whom I knew could capture the look I was going for. For invitations, I think that Tiffany’s is the best. I adore mine (which were just mailed)!”

There you have it from the Lady Trump’s words herself.
